Delhi Metro News : At around 1:00 AM on the night of August 15-16, an incident on Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line has raised serious questions about women’s privacy and safety in public places. Near AIIMS Metro Station, a CISF uniformed personnel was allegedly accused of secretly taking photographs of a female passenger without her consent. Some people also alleged that when the woman confronted the CISF personnel, he allegedly took out his service pistol and pointed it at them. The woman immediately asked the personnel why he was taking her photographs. The personnel initially denied the allegation and said that he had not taken any photograph. However, when fellow passengers intervened and checked his phone, they allegedly found photographs of the woman in his gallery.
The woman demanded that he hand over the phone and delete the photographs. However, the personnel refused to hand over his phone. Following this, the argument inside the coach escalated and eventually turned into pushing and a confrontation involving the personnel’s collar.

Following the incident, the Delhi Metro Police and CISF took action. At around 12:40 AM, the Delhi Metro Police received a PCR call. After receiving the information, police officials reached the spot and took the CISF ASI into their custody.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the personnel was subsequently handed over to senior CISF officials.
As soon as the matter came to light, CISF also took action. The accused personnel was suspended with immediate effect, and a detailed departmental inquiry was ordered against him.
CISF Delhi Metro issued a statement on its official social media handle, saying that the matter was being taken very seriously and that any kind of indiscipline or misconduct would not be tolerated.
However, another important aspect of the case is that the female passenger has not filed a formal written complaint with the police. Therefore, according to the police, no criminal FIR has been registered so far.
